The additional warranty can be bought within 90 days of purchase date. They have already informed bro.
We have see this the same way the belt warranty is given, irrespective of the purchase date the warranty was given with their regular T&C. The battery warrenty should be from the purchase date / Km driven.
Since they are not letting the existing owners to buy this, it brings a question that the batteries sold before were defective? Ather corrected those only now? so they are confident to give that warranty now.
So they did allow existing owners to buy the 5 year extended battery warranty, after the scooter was checked at an AEC. So to the people who ‘bought’ that after the ACDC ‘23, as in which wasn’t bundled in a promotion offer it was priced similarly or a bit higher atleast to those members I feel Ather should’ve reached out with this addn 3 year extension.
I can confidently say all Gen 2 to early Gen 3.1 batteries won’t last 6 years of usage.
Seeing this am also doubting will it even last 5 years ? If they are so confident give us atleast+2 years of extend warrenty
They had a 5 year warranty upgrade for gen 3 and beyond which assures 70% battery health retention.

Okay I accept those vehicles which have been used for Swiggy/zomato are subjected to more charge cycles on fast chargers compared to regular users who use only home charging Excluding those why can’t you give it for regular folks if you say “ ur battery lasts for minimum 8yrs and 70000kms” I have seen multiple instances of battery battery replaced at 45,000/53,000km that to within 3yrs. Forget about 8yrs/70000kms. Another marketing nonsense by Ather.
What bs bro when I called up the service provider he told ke it’s not available after one year I got to know u could have got it but because of that idiot he dint knew about that Even they aren’t informed about such things Lost my chances to get that.

Poor marketing/reachout from my Ather showroom in porur, Chennai. They could have called and informed me regarding this. Now it is more than 90 days and I am not able to subscribe for this. I have already spoken to someone and they said they will escalate but no call from them again.

I got my new Ather 450x with pro pack in October and went to Ather experience centre to get the Eight 70 warranty. The invoice i got has EBW( 8 years) in parts description and eight70 not mentioned anywhere. Is the EBW (battery) same as the Eight70 warranty?
