Dashboard UI and UX improvements. Lets discuss.

Guys I had a thought on how can the dashboard be improved while making it smoother.

Instead of keeping google maps always on screen. They can make it like an app, so the maps only put load on the processor when app is opened.

On top of that we can have different apps too like say WhatsApp as an actual app on screen.

And for the safety and all the apps like navigation are the ones only allowed to work while riding.

I am not talking about adding the whole play store. Just the apps that are necessary and optimised for the scooter.

What are your thoughts.

Valuable Topic Vinay, My Vote is for You my Boy :crossed_fingers:

Maybe we can see this in 2027

just add a refresh button in settings which clears ram and toggles airplane mode off n on in case scooter disconnects

You meant like how it was on earlier Old U.I ? That old interface was simpler only displayed what was needed not cramming everything on screen just for sakes of it. It was snappy in existing hardware unlike current implementation which is taxing it heavily.

I don’t know clearly about the old UI. But seeing what you said. I think they messed up changing the UI and OS.

Thank you bro😁. And yeah Ather is a bit late in everything.

Bro wouldn’t the refresh button make the dashboard load everything again. That would put more stress on it, or it would not.

Is anybody facing white line on the left & side of the screen???

better than restarting the whole scooter and waiting for long, although UI glitches dont happen anymore on stack 6 but if it does reload should help

One idea they can implement to reduce the load… anyways its android system. They can simply install Apple carplay and Android auto to the system and that we can connect wirelessly. that consumes data and storage from connected mobiles. and that will not go on hung state anytime. @chef.arun7 @vinaykumar91692 please provide your inputs on this

Even if it is implemented there is still some processing power needed on the dashboard to run the interface smoothly. Plus dashboard would still require some changes before trying to implement that. But if they make the CarPlay or android auto optimized and light enough it could essentially be the best option.

Rakesh Bro, Even If Its Possible - Ather have to Think about it and Process it Bro.

Which is a Big No No for Them :pensive:

I think, Someone said this here already. They may give us Google Map and Whoever needs can access it whenever they need. But This needs a lot of Inputs. Which is a Big Red Flag for Ather.

I don’t know what they are working on, Wait till January 26 and We discuss further bro

knowing Ather, they’ll probably never ever allow this as this directly affects their subscription plan lol, i got the 3.7kw 450x just for the bigger battery and will never ever buy the subscription after it’s over, the map implementation is plain garbage slow af and no arrow too when locating self, map keeps glitching and much more not to forget random lines appearing everywhere

I will never need maps on my 450x in 3x3km town but i bought subscription for updates, charging notification and other once in a while stuff like ping my scooter or checking previous rides, also its like only 50rs a month

lines on map is just how it renders and fetches in chunks cant help it

i was just browsing their website and they have shown arrow on their maps but it’s not the case for me why is that ? in 450x section scroll down till u reach the packed with smarts section and the map there is totally different it’s always ill centred and makes using maps a very horrible experience
