Current Ather EC and SC Situation. It’s not looking good.(next O!a electric incoming)

Guys. We all know the current Ather EC and SC situation.

EC lies about offers and sometimes even deny it. The EC staff itself is sometimes very rude and think they are the boss and don’t give a damn about customer.

SC is no different. The staff itself has half the knowledge and doesn’t follow the procedures for servicing, example belt tensioning and noises, Some SC mechanics don’t use the proper way to tension belts, they don’t use the frequency tuners and all, they just adjust it according to the feel which leads to weird noises that they are not interested in resolving.

All of this because of the dealer model. On top of it giving the dealer almost full control, and staff managed by the dealer. That leads to the dealer forcing EC and SC to maximise profits and therefore they stop caring for customers.

For me the solution would be that all the staff should be managed by Ather itself and not dealer and that staff is not responsible to any demands of the dealer.

What are the your bad experiences related to Ather SC or EC. Please share below. And what would be the solution according to you.

SC are doing whatever they feel like. They won’t agree to what you say and just give their own stuff. I have faced this, a lot. CS will give you some solution or ask you to visit sc but sc will either deny or give any random response.

It would be a bigger challenge if it is directly run by Ather. Instead, Ather could directly apoint one person a service center who directly oversees stuff.

I feel like Ather becoming like Ola. And But In my Cities I have Good ECs and SCs.

So Its all depends on Retail Partners Mentality. So Ather should Control the Retail Partners.

Totally agree on belt tension. Every time they work on the rear wheel, they mess up the tension so bad. And to fix the tension we will have to visit multiple times and waste a lot of time just to make them agree that they will even “try to fix” it.

One thing I faced so far in the past 2 years is, “sir, the belt noise is normal after every servicing and it will go away after few kms”. But the thing is, it just keeps getting worse.

It is meant to be this way is such a common answer. The other day, they were relating a braking issue with software update. What even. I am riding the scooter since three years and this is what you’re saying?

Also for somethings like puncture, they get it done from someplace else. Either the tpms stops, there are chipping marks all over the body or even they say “you can get it done from outside”.

Seriously I have never seen someone this dumb. And they are supposed to take care of your vehicle. Let alone repair it.

found the forum a little late but here it goes wanted to buy Ather 450 lunar gray ec salesman kr whoever he has quoted a price 5-6k more than what was on website, still agreed to it then after waiting for 2 months said not possible to get that colour take normal gray or cancel booking so i just got that, pretty shitty experience had involved Ather support too after waiting for 2 months and even they asked me to cancel lol, huge red flags if u ask me but since i just wanted to buy Ather i just got the normal gray colour anyway, dashboard is just utter garbage the lag is insane but thread’s not related to that so will end my rant here
