I know its sounds oxymoron but can i charge scooter using a small portable Generator? I have a small 750 VA Honda. Would it cause any problem if i did that?
You might not be able to charge if the scooter is checking for earth as your portable generator wouldn’t most likely be earthed (sits on rubber bushings usually, at least the one I have). But no harm in trying.
would not recommend using the generator to charge the Ather, if you are using the 2nd gen portable charger, it has very sensitive electronics which can be affected by the rippling volts of Genset. If you are using an inverter-based generator then it can charge the scooter but it should be atleast 1000watts, not VA
