Bajaj Chetak

It’s sad to see Bajaj not honoring the preorder prices and following the same traditional methods that are prevalent in 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler industries.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the price of the Urbane model is not 1,27,000. The on-road price for Urbane is actually, Rs 1,21,525. The on-road price for the Premium variant is Rs 1,26,552. I always wondered why they are charging 15,000 more for just the front disk brake and some color differences for the Premium variant over Urbane. Looks like Urbane model is for just marketing purposes with low pricing. With the Ather 450x pricing and huge demand for decent EVs, they are now increasing the prices for Ubrane to make it less value over Premium.

Regarding the home charging kit, only socket is now option and costs extra right? They are still providing the regular charging adapter which can be plugged into any 5A socket as per updated FAQ on the website (below screenshot). 10K for that branded socket is huge waste. Its better to just get a 10 A rated MCB as mentioned in of their FAQs. They themselves are encouraging to get 10A MCB in one of their FAQs. Looks like they are not interested in selling the charging kit.

Companies tend to get arrogant and ignore customer satisfaction when there is a huge demand than supply, but Bajaj should have honored these 2 commitments (initial pricing and charging kit) at least for the early customers in the 2 cities.
