My take is they found the joystick as a much more cohesive method of input and they are now trying to develop on that going further, potentially to the deterrence and neglect of the only touch systems we have.

am just confused on how much is Ather exactly saving by removing just digitizer from pretty much same tablet as 450x cause rizta still costs 1.8L onroad mumbai for top model pretty close to 450x HR

My thought exactly, considering this is a direct competition to IQube, they have bare minimum spec which is barely on par with Iqube, for example Iqube has a motor with 4.4 kWh and Rizta has 4.3 kWh. They have copied everything, no touch, front disc, rear drum.
I wonder what was the design team was thinking.

They are money hungry. That’s their only motivation. I don’t think they focus on being sustainable.
If their rizta is still under development If their halo is still under development If Ather 6.0 is still not ready for beta
What was the hurry for doing acdc! They could have taken 1 month more and launched it when atleast beta was ready.
No blogger was allowed to show software No one could review halo yet they took payments from riders Such a beautiful and smooth map was being shown in the launch video. If it isn’t ready yet… was it just a video?

I also remember that Tarun or someone saying that we won’t announce something and say we will give it to you later. I always believed that Ather is you can pre order it today, test rides are available and we ship next month onwards.

Agreed 100%, since the ACDC was already delayed, thoda aur delay kar lete. I remember when they were updating scooters as the software update was being announced. Such a cool idea!

Bro this started way back even in July 2019 Ather 2nd location after Bangalore is Chennai they launched Ather 450 gen 1.5 for the first time till then only gen 1 was sold in Bangalore (difference is they Removed on board charger, introduced dot/ brick portable charger and added eco mode to existing ride and sport modes), on stage they mentioned free 2 helmets with every purchase. Later when deliveries started changed that, we had screenshots/live photos of the event and community was so small at that time we were able to get what was promised to us for first few batches. I have to search but can find that image

They gave coasting regen and forgot to give us advance regen ?? E-scam again I swear to god bruh if the coasting regen is same as twisting the throttle back in gen 3 it’s bs of a feature.
