During this festive offer Ather offered Rs.5000 Ather grid wallet charging amount for a year. But in Ather app its showing as Rs.100 Only. Please resolve this Ticket: 100807380
So basically the upper limit of the wallet balance might be set as <=100 so they might just replenish it for 50times rather than changing the balance limit. Though confirm it with them via mail so you have an official copy of the promised offering.
I was also surprised to see this when I purchased my APEX 450 in October. However, the ₹5000 balance can be found under the charge history.
purchased the APEX 450 in October 2024, and as part of the deal, I was offered a ₹5,000 credit in the Ather Wallet for use on the Ather Grid. As a remote worker, I do not commute daily, and my vehicle usage is limited to short errands around my home—barely 4–8 km in a year.
I was informed that this ₹5,000 balance would expire after one year and would be forfeited if unused. While this condition was disclosed, it is still disappointing and unethical for Ather India to forfeit a customer benefit in this manner. Advertising a ₹5,000 benefit that many customers may realistically be unable to use within a year is neither fair nor customer-friendly. I still have more than half the amount i.e 2500 plus left as balance.
Ideally, Ather should allow this balance to be extended, refunded, or adjusted against future services, spare parts, or maintenance for the Apex 450. Presenting this as a benefit and then allowing it to lapse unused reflects poorly on the brand and feels misleading. This is an issue that Ather needs to address and correct.
I totally understand the frustration, but honestly, it’s tough to blame Ather for this one.
The ₹5,000 Ather Grid wallet credit was disclosed upfront with a clear one year validity. There was no hidden clause here. Once the terms are transparently communicated, it becomes a usage-based benefit, not a guaranteed cash value.
Ather Grid credits are designed to promote the use of public charging stations, not to serve as refundable cash or service vouchers. If someone’s riding habits don’t require Grid charging especially in cases of extremely low annual usage that’s a personal usage mismatch, not a misleading offer.
Calling it unethical or misleading doesn’t really hold when:
1.The expiry was clearly stated
2.The credit was optional to use
3.No false promise of refund or carry-forward was made
But expecting a company to retroactively change disclosed terms because the benefit wasn’t utilized sets an unrealistic precedent. Benefits tied to behavior always carry a risk of non-usage and that responsibility lies with the user, not the brand.
Same here! They should’ve removed this banner after the expiry date, but they kept it, and it’s misleading.
