Buy Vs Lease Vs Loan

I agree with you on the Rs 5,000/- base limit.

My doubt is on the cashback that you get at the end of your 3 year lease period. Are there any restrictions which will lead Autovert to deny it, because of the number of claims. I’m not clear about their clauses around this. Can you throw some light around this.

Also, it seems like they won’t be providing Ather One or any other subscription. Customers need to buy on their own. During the initial days, that was not the case I believe. With all these changes Autovert is making, is it still worth to lease Ather from them.

As I know, Autovert will not deny return of deposit amount. However it might deduct some amount for clause 1 if the vehicle is not maintained well (say for scratches) . Clause 2 and 3 are valid.

Your understanding is right. Autovert lease plan is not with any subscription plan. However, Autovert says t all the maintenance is on them. It means all service costs can be reimbursed. So, what will you lose one does not take up any plan? Data, Electricity reimbursement and then public charging. ONe has to choose weighing what is good /bad for him.

Thanks Rajesh for the clarification. Helps a lot in deciding whether to lease or buy on your own.

Hi my payment window for 450 is open & I have opted for lease plan …may I know how to opt for Ather One plan & what would be the difference amount to be paid & how ?

Call them and they’ll send you a payment link through which you can pay.
The difference amount is ~2.8k

Just my 2 bits on the lease plan. Autovert over the past year of usage has been very responsive to complaints, insurance claims and have handled most stuff at the back-end. Since my vehicle has not one scratch on it, hope they don’t deduct much…
Ather 450 at 1.2 lakhs wasnt very costly, yet picked up lease to be able to return the scooter as gen 1 features such as 3g and 18650 cells seemed like would be outdated quick. But with the 450x fiasco, i guess buying the 450 outright makes sense. Now i guess ultraviolette or something would be the next

Whats your order ID please?

I luckily got a transfer of order before pre launch of 450x from a person who had pre booked 450 long back

Today afternoon lease payment done … generally what is the wait time after lease payment ? in portal it says 15-20 days

Dot installation within 3 days once you make the payment for dot installation. Then it’s Insurance followed by registration. You can expect these things to be completed by 15 days.

Can any one help what exactly includes in leasing.

Does anyone have the lease agreement so that we can read it to understand the terms and condition

check this out

Thank you very much sir very informative I was also looking for the actual document from then which gets signed between the customer and the leasing company

Hi Aakash, More or less what is mentioned in FAQ page will be in T&C of the document. If you have any concern, you may please reach Autovert and I presume they will oblige to clarity.

Do anyone have idea about loan approval process? How long it would take for loan Approval and when the down payment should be done?

Hi @Ather.Team, @Autovert,

I have my order opened up for payment window. I was going through the lease plan and i used the lease calculator. Can you please explain me about the below attachment screen shot

Does this understanding of mine correct?

60k down payment
2589*36 months= 93204
Total : 153204
Return after 36 months: 60000
If want to continue using the vehicle after lease period then pay 10k more…

93204+10000 = 103204

If i pay upfront, then it is 1,13,715

So basically you are paying less when going for lease…

Is there a catch here? Am i missing something.

I guess you won’t get 60k if you retain the vehicle after lease period.

At the end of lease period
If you return vehicle
93204.
If you keep the vehicle (and transfer to your name)
93204+60000+10000=163204.
Upfront
113715.

Yup that’s the catch…60k return will happen in ideal condition. In three years wear and tear is bound to happen, so do subtract that.
