StackPro is not same as Ather Connect. Stack is the software and connect is the subscription that activates all these features. StackPro is new.

Honestly, if we look at Ather’s history, only Gen 1 → Gen 2 and Gen 2 → Gen 3 were true generational jumps — major battery and motor upgrades with real impact on performance and longevity.
Everything after Gen 3 has been more of an incremental update: software tweaks, display/interface changes, minor feature adds, and small mechanical refinements. Nice to have, but not a “generation” in the engineering sense.
So unless this so-called “Gen 5” brings a completely new battery architecture, motor platform, and pack chemistry, it’s really just Gen 3.3 with a fresh sticker. Marketing departments love big numbers… but riders know the difference.

Gen 4 > Gen 5, Nothing different but Magic Twist and TC will be there
Even They don’t give Great things on this ACDC. We (I) Gen 2 users have Great Upgrade. But Rest need Something Newwww

Still running the same 3.7 kWh battery is not a great thing anymore. At least move to 4.5 kWh with a real-world range of 150 km, and give the motor 8 kW–10 kW peak power along with ABS—that would be a real upgrade.
How long can Ather survive purely on reliability and digital marketing without meaningful hardware upgrades? The EV market is moving fast, and loyal customers expect Ather to lead, not follow.

But then Ather still feels more powerful than scooters with claimed higher power figures, why would a company logically decide to go for more power when the competition is clearly lagging behind. What Ather needs to rethink is their pricing strategy, all their products especially the 450x is overpriced. Add to that taking cheap business decisions like shipping a laptop charger spec home chargers with the 2.9 variants, alledged recent quality control issues will seriously hurt their business.
Ather’s claim to be smart scooters but beyond the integration of an IOT system, Ather hasn’t gone ahead in any hardware level connectivity.
A true smart scooter would have had options to control charging thresholds, start and stop charging, setup limits for charging power etc.
I know nobody at Ather would read this, but if at all by any minuscle chance someone sees this, providing google maps and touchscreen on dashboard was cool and all of us appreciated it when the product was launched 5 years back, still boasting around about the same features makes you look stupid.

Mam as soon as online booking got opened i booked the tickets. But one week before I got the coupon code and i m unable to use it. Neither district is helping saying they cannot help as already ticket is purchased. And Ather is saying they cannot help because ticket booked already without coupon.

This could be cruise control or some sort of assisted riding. In the game, after you collect this green power-up the scooter moves on it’s own. Also the caution triangle appears after that power up is collected when you are in a lane with potholes.
Are we finally gonna see - Ather PotholeAssist™ and Ather CityCruise™ ?!
