As this update has been released 12 days back which is on 5th February 2024 , I haven’t received this update.

Can you kindly assist me on this issue ?

its server sided, no OTA updates are needed, its already on in your scooter.

If you are mentioning ESS then it’s already on our vehicles. No update needed.

Nah it was a Gen4X with Warp+ and magic twist according to people who attended.

Edit: Well Smridhi liked your post, so I suppose it was just an Apex without the specific panels.

Did anyone receive ESS to their Ather? They said it finds backward compatible till Gen 2. I believe I still didn’t receive it. Mine is Gen 3.1. How to know if I already received it? But it has been many days since I received an update.

I know that the forum is not the right place to get support but after more than 2 months, I have been given no choice but to write here.

As per this, I was supposed to receive this on my Gen 2, 450X. Sadly I did not receive any update( it wasn’t even supposed to be one) I thought this is normal as it would be rolled out in batches and usually my scooter takes time to get the updates. After waiting for almost a month, I decided to reach out to CS. After a lot of emails to and from Ather, which state:

  1. ESS is not available for my scooter. Then I send them this post link and then they agree. And then they check.

  2. The whole explanation of how ESS works and how I should be safe while riding my scooter if I want to check if ESS is working.

  3. They weren’t able to help me and told me to visit the Service Center.

After 2-3 trips to the SC, the diagnostics was done and the technician said that all is well with the scooter and there is no update pending. I was on call with CS from the SC and they told me to open the ticket again.

Then again through a couple of weeks and my frustration of your team not reading my emails and giving me the 3 above mentioned reasons again and again, the ticket has been closed and I receive a call from the Service Manager thay ESS is not available for my scooter and nothing can be done. There is no one who genuinely cares and the CS team is just after closing the tickets. They do it after each email of theirs. I have to keep reopening the ticket.

I would not have even bothered if ESS wasn’t available but I feel since Ather is giving it, I should have it too. While many of them have gotten it, I am still stuck in vicious cycle of communication with CS and SC. If it interests any of you here, kindly look into it and provide an update without stating any of the three reasons.

PS. This is the issue I have been referring to in my previous posts where I said “don’t even get me started on”. Sorry I lost my patience this time.

TL ; DR : Haven’t got ESS on my scooter yet and am stuck with useless and careless Ather CS and service.

did the SC check it by lifting the scooter and hard braking?

No. We can’t check as the feature is not there.

Bro it’s enabled on all gen2 scooters there is no need for any update in series 1 it’s enabled without any update. Just ask SC when your scooter is on paddock to test for ess go full throttle and apply brake you can confirm it’s working.

I know that. How do I even test it when it doesn’t even show up on my scooter? If it is there, shouldn’t it show up?

Thank you even in my Ather it’s not working i did that paddock thing too dint work soo idk are we supposed to wait for stack 6 as even if ur receiving this update its gonna changes anyhow.
