Frankly I dont like any Ather subscription plan

Hub motors by design have much superior torque and since they don’t have a reduction gear, they need the high torque to move the vehicle. They usually also have higher acceleration if the power figures are same, then spin much lower then a inrunner motor.

TVS subscription free for only 1 year. Also, looks like TVS updated the website now. Earlier there was price mentioned for yearly subscription as Rs 800. It’s still much lower than Ather pricing.

In my opinion every company should give basic ride statistics for free. They can charge for navigation and other extra features under subscription and it should be optional.

140Nm torque isn’t achieved by even Emflux one(~80Nm) XD
Typo of the greatest order ;).

Hub motors have more torque, unlike the ather which uses a reduction gear to increase torque. Hub motor needs all the torque to move the scooter because its driving the wheel directly without any gear. Hub motor being a outrunner motor by design has more torque.

But ~7 times that of Ather?
I don’t think gears reduce that much torque.
Correct me if I’m wrong.

Yes, trade off is hub motors spin really slow.

You can get even 1000nm of torque if you want to with the right gear ratio but at cost of rpm.

Zigwheels mentioned the battery capacity of TVS iQube is 2.2 kWh.

I really hope Ather resolves all the issues in 450 with 450X. Also, hope we don’t need to wait months for the delivery of 450X.

TVS called and asked to reschedule

What kind of towns are you talking about. Are people in those market willing to pay double the amount for fancy Jupiter? This one doesn’t offer anything better than Chetak or Ather. This seems like a rushed product to entice it’s investors. In future hope they may come up with something better.

With the right marketing, they may be able to keep up. Need to see the kind of numbers they’ll be putting in TV.

Its exciting to have on ground battle of 450 iQube and chetak, Really interested to know how others perform , No doubt about Ather though…

looks Jupiter fitted with new panels. that’s it TVS ???

Probably Ather can sit back and watch the iQube vs Chetak match.

If they had thrown in a belt drive with 1.5 times the battery would have been a real good challenger. As of now looks like a beta product.
