the cone bearings itself cost around 1500, rest is the labour. you can ask them to decrease it if they are willing to.
Hi thanks for the post, I am also facing the same issue Front Handling. My Ather is just more than a month old and I have taken it to both Nungambakkam and Mogapper ASC, the issue still persists. Could you please let me know how to proceed to resolve this issue.
Most likely if your scooter is new then it can’t be a cone set bearing issue. Ask them loosen up the cone set slightly. This might resolve the issue. Else you might have to replace the bearing sets.
Hi Ather 450x gen 2 cone set is of 2 different manufacturer matching, one bottom match with Suzuki and the Top matches with Vespa, I have recently changed myself and cost around 1500 Rs as I need to buy both manufacturers cone set and use only one side of them, reason i changed was after 34000 km odo in 3 years my handlebar started having shaking and warranty expired and there is no service slots available to quick fix
Which model in Suzuki? and Vespa Classic?
I will upload all details via a video so it’s easily understandable
Again. I saw the whole video. You haven’t mentioned the parts from which it was taken.
For top. Which one is it Vespa Classic or some other model? And bottom one which is it? Suzuki Access? Burgman? Motorcycle like Gixxer?
If you could give us just the part number printed on the both the package that will be helpful.
how much price for Ather genuine cone set in Ather Service center.
Around 2500 plus labour.
I Think🧐 the parts of Ather scooter are made of gold. That’s why they are so Expensive . My right side mirror was broken which costs me Around Rs 715. Also they Increase the price of all space parts.
Because of price and labour time i planned to fix myself, it was a good experience and learning, and happiness after fixing all is even more satisfying
After viewing the video the money paid to the sc is worth , not at all an easy task
Because of low sales volume of Ather parts costs more compared to other manufacturers who have high sales volume.
So let me start with 3rd year ownership. well, mid-3rd year, nothing to do more than wheeing, Ather copyright that word. Well, the year was fun, but then there was Front wheel misalignment. too much rage riding. . Don’t understand as people as soon as they see an Ather they want to jump-scare-race.
Sometime after the 15k service, this cone set issue was persistent. Left the service 3 times, and they would blame it on the new tyres. then to and forth I got them replaced hence was this post
And then one day zooming through, a Snap, the worst sound you ever want to hear, The belt lost all its teeth during acceleration, just in 17 days after the 15K service. well RSA came to the Help. they came in 2 hours after the call. Damm, they are slow. So after the RSA picked up and I went along with them they(Chennai Nungambakkam) took 4 hours to replace the belt. I could have changed in 1 hour. I wonder if they bill Ather this and its labour is fixed in hours.
So, I’m all fixed up and back on the road. There was not much till M019, M017, and M045 errors started popping up just as the warranty expired . I sent up the scooter for rectification, they did solve it but it was only temporary. eventually, I had the wire harness replaced at a discounted price. but I did have to give them back the old harness. I was thinking of keeping the old harness and fixing the issue so others who face it don’t have to get the entire harness replaced. but you guys know Ather.
Next post on 25K and 30K. Nothing to add except they broke my front brake calliper bracket. and there is no way of fixing it. the saga continues.
Can I get cone set change under warranty as I m facing issues in handling the vehicle it’s hard sometimes and shaking while driving it. Please let me know any one.
There is no warranty on coneset bearings, it has to be replaced at ASC the cost is around 1500 plus labour.
My Ather Gen 2 handlebar started shaking at 13,000 km. I bought the original Ather cone, which cost me around ₹2000 including labor charges. Without labor charges, we can’t buy the original part from the showroom. The actual cost is ₹1259, and the labor charge is approximately ₹650 plus GST.
I changed it outside the showroom for some reasons. When I was changing it, the technician told me that the “Access” cone set supports the bottom side and the Vespa cone set supports the upside, so we can use those as well.
I had the same issue. I even told them several times to change the cone set, but they didn’t do it. After that, I paid extra to buy the cone set from somewhere else.i had same issue … even told them several time to change the cone set but they diddnt do after that i paid them extra to buy coneset from somewhere else
