People are talking about upgrades they want but I’m more concerned about the silent quality downgrades we’re getting in each generation.

Belt issues in Gen 3 (Now resolved✅)

No fan in Gen 4 resulting in overheating and drop in performance

Battery IP rating downgrade in Gen 5 from IP67 to IPX7

hope every Ather owner in this forum dissuades others from buying now, Ather ceo thinks word of mouth is good for Ather while backstabbing it’s owners thinking we won’t notice

This seems to be their new mantra “ ‘New Year Edition’. You know, the one where every single feature is mysteriously incompatible with your existing hardware. Backward compatibility? Who cares.

i have no idea where to ask this but my 450x gen 4 hr has stopped shutting down, not even a month old what might be the issue? after i click on shutdown and turn off the key i turn it on in the morning only to find it still on the turn off key to shutdown screen

The fan issue is real Ive been getting it from 2 days I drove it today at night time (8:45 pm) Because previously I drove them during afternoon times I thought because of external temperature it’s happening but at night time in sport mode just 5.1 km on a flat highway road is soo disappointing

yep performance deration happens way too fast, torque seems to taper down too fast within 5 kms of riding in warp

not just that the dashboard has became very unstable in recent updates,navigation crashes and resets it,freezing while turing motor off

May be, only a small % due to hardware limitations. There is no magic twist and traction control in old gen scooters.

iirc Ather had claimed the tyres are the only thing contributing to the increased range when gen 5 was launched, i don’t think twist and traction contribute more than 10 kms of increased range

Didn’t existing tyres already had bad reputation for low grip levels, need feedback from these new tyres from 2025 model users to see how they managed to increase range without further drop in grip levels

existing tyres are great at grip ,best i have seen any scooter with 12 inch tyres far better than my ntorq. its just that Ather has good torque so some guys slip
