The Funny Side

Somewhere near Koramangala, I saw this Indian oil petrol bunk board which said fills faster than instant noodles. Sarcasm to the highest extent. Not sure why they are comparing to EVs. :joy:

No, I have seen this tagline since years… So, I guess it was against their oil retail competitors… They would not have thought about EV that time

Coincidence, it looks like against the EV…

Indian Oil, KAMMANAHALLI also has this tag!

I guess this is what you see around when you have an EV. When you have an ICE, you just want to head over to the petrol bunk and fill it up. But when you have an EV and keep observing, you find new things. :joy:

Tell me about it…

** Today morning my wife was riding to office and the Ather’s tyre was punctured once again! She took it to the closest puncture shop. She could see some 10 nails in the tyre. The puncture shop fellow told her that it is better to replace the tyre itself instead of plugging so many punctures. ** Wink Wink! This was the bad dream that my wife woke up to today morning!!!

She rides the 450 to Bellandur and till date it has already 4 Punctures :confounded:

Today while driving on that stretch heard a few loud bangs and tyres bursting. Definitely mafia

First tip, don’t drive the bike on road side sand. This is the major reason for nails get into tyre.

Second tip, regularly check the tyre pressure n fill the air every two weeks once. The less the tyre pressure, the more chances of nail get into tyre.

Third tip, not to drive on the small smart lights on the roads.

By doing the above three tips, you reduce 50% of tyre puncture.

I remember the Honda showroom guys put some liquid/ sealant inside the Dio Tyres a few years ago, and i stopped getting any punctures after that. Maybe it was just luck, or maybe the sealant actually helped. Is there anything similar to this available now?

Yes. In the first service they definitely recommend this. Small investment huge benefits.

Hi Nimish,
I had similar issues with the tyre puncture since the road I travel is having a mafia or easy to get punctured tyres(Bommonahalli to Belandur). One puncture shop suggested to put liquid almost 500ml cost is 600 approx …But I verified this with @ather_rajs.in , they told it voids the warranty for the tyre, because of this need to drop the idea.
I don’t why this is an warranty issue. Still I haven’t got correct answer from Ather.
Thanks,
Arvind

Could you screenshot the actual range in the app dashboard?

I’d put it in anyway (and ignore the tyre warranty as the daily puncture inconvenience is a bigger issue). Maybe I’ll get it done in the new tyres if and when I get the tyres replaced.

Couldn’t speak to the Ather owner. Hope he is my new neighbor.:grinning:
