You don’t need to pay for the portable charger if you have opted for the portable charger instead of the Dot. When buying the scooter, you can choose one of those. If you choose the Dot, you have to pay for the installation, but if you choose the portable charger, you don’t need to pay anything extra.

Actually you will be in loss if you do this DOT is priced at 10k where as portable only 5k hence choose wisely

Thnak you for this info but having to setup this dot is the problem for me actually has i dont have a fixed parking spot so the portable charger along with an extension gives me a option to charge where i park …hence i was asking how does this work.
Can anyone say what is the difference between portable charger vs DOT charger ? I mean charging speed ,…?

Dot will be fixed in your parking lot. whereas, the portable charger can be plugged into any 3 pin plug. The charging speed almost remains the same.

Ather dot is a Home charger. So your Ather dot is paired to your scooter.

Can we have fast charging for home?
Fast charger for home does not exist yet with Ather, owing to battery health care. Home charger is supposed to be used overnight. Daily fast charging will deplete battery health rapidly. Only Ather grid has fast charge, because it will help us be on move quickly if we are close to running out of charge.

I have been waiting for portable charger for more than a month now. Is it possible to arrange for one ASAP. Every time I call CC its same response saying no stock.
Replenishment of stock of portable chargers must be taken up on priority. It may not be always possible to plan our rides depending on the charge available in the battery when we leave our home and thats when a portable charger would come handy and when huge tracts of areas are not installed with fast chargers. Request Ather to replenish stock quickly.
