When you went to SC for scheduled maintenance @ 15K Kms, told to check the brake pads condition. As they checked and returned the vehicle by stated that, it can run another 1000 Kms.

Ok agreed. As per their words and felt low in brake efficiency sent the vehicle again by 16.1K Kms for brake pads replacement with proper appointment(In Ather App) and through their CRE person (In WhatsApp - because they don’t consider Ather App Appointments valid, as per their rule ) confirmation, what I found is Brake Pads - No Stock.

@smridhi.kalati @tarun Here my question is, since brake pads are essential requirement in the aspect of vehicle and users safety(in my aspect), who will be the responsible for anything unusual thing(might scratches or accident) that might happened.?

When it took to Ather-Customer Care, they simply replied with their “Will look into this” mail.

Guys, I’ve been noticing since a couple months:

Whenever I’ve had to hit my brakes hard, even on clean dry tarmac, my rear starts going out and the scooter dances around like a snake.

I use a balance of both front and rear brakes, depending on the amount of grip and situation.

Could it be an issue with the scooter? I don’t think its meant to behave this way.

For context, odo is 16,000km and still on original tyres (rears have about 40% life remaining, front roughly 70%).

Also have the issue of handle wobbling at high speeds. Been highlighting it since last 3-4 SC visits but they cannot find a solution. Could this be related to the handle wobbling?

Bro I suggest you to Change to Michelin, MRF isn’t a Great Tyre for 2ws.

My OG MRF tyres have been giving me issues with rear locking and vehicle pulling left-right when taking u-turns, replacing them with Michelin Street Extras now (ordered online, they are otw).

The rear tyre is completely worn and has an unrepairable puncture at 12psi. For reference, my Odo is 17k kms.

Which ones in Michelin? What’s the maximum tyre size and width we can do?

(Range is not a concern)

Let us know how they feel!

Personally I suggest

Michelin City Extra

Front 90/90-12 Rear 100/80-12

But Coimbatore 's Mr. Dhananjay using

Front 100/80-12 Rear 120/70-12

But He faces 10-12 KMs Range Drop in Ather 450x Gen 2 :fist_right:

Just Telling

Got them replaced today, costed 3650/- (from TyreMarket website, read reviews for website from Team-BHP and it felt trustworthy).

Well, usual disappointment from Ather’s service where it costed me 584/- for changing both tyres. They scratched the rims and didn’t put the valve cover for one tyre. FFS I hate how bad the service seems to be going now.

Initial experience with the tyres is AMAZING. It is miles better than the stock MRF crap, much more confidence with these, can corner and lean around more without being so afraid of skidding (unlike the MRF). I immediately felt the difference going out of the SC’s dirt road/gravel path. It is worth replacing imo.

Also the MRFs felt lighter in hand than the Michelins ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Will update if I notice anything within the next few weeks of usage.

Great, so not only did I lose a valve cover, scratched both my rims, but also wasted ₹292/- on getting a tyre fixed incorrectly.

This service sucks for the price we’re paying!

Is it okay to ride 3000kms until I get it fixed at next service? I don’t want to deal with these people again  I guess the reversed tread only affects during rain?

Oops, Morning I was busy and I didn’t read the Post. Just saw this and let you know. Now Only Read the Post Properly.

Not a Big Problem, Careful On Corners since Its a Hard Compound Tyre. You feel some Discomforts. Its Summer So No Rain Worries.

But, You call the SC and Let them know that you need to Change Pattern. Else You have to Pay 300 again after 3k KMs. Tc. Keep Warping :zap:

100 rs is charged by road side shops to change tyres and they do a better job.

Should have gone for tvs remora, the lifecycle on mchillen is very less. Speaking from experience…

I was somehow riding my bike with rear wheel at 22 psi why did the tyre lose so much air? unsurprisingly the ride has become way more stiffer and also strangely handles worse should i reduce some air below the recommended 32 psi?
