Battery replacement free tha bhai. Battery ne kuch nahin khaya. Particularly in his case EV is much much better than petrol.

Can you please elaborate on the following:

  1. Belts and Brake pads.
  2. Battery replacement costs

Did you saw any pattern of reduced part quality, like belts breaking more often, break pads (well they mostly erode if you drive like a monster) but can the OEM be tracked so that we can replace the breakpad ourselves.

Regarding battery replacement, please share your experience. Did the batter was removed from frame and a new one was installed? Costs, and is the cost justified.

Complete overhaul costs? Doesn’t it make the Ather expensive as you rode 56K kms after which you have to go for battery replacements?

I know it’s a lot I’ve asked, but I am genuinely that one Ather guy who bought this vehicle, paid premium over it and have read every technical blog they post or YouTube video they’ve made.

Well if you think twice while buying EV 2 wheeler, you will end up buying Ather only. :slight_smile:

Jokes apart , this is the latest/modern trend if all the industries… repair thing is vanishing…as electronics is getting more and more compact. Most of time , all you have is one or two integrated PCBs… and they are not that easy to troubleshoot and fix. Replacement seems easier in such cases. I am sure this must be happening with your TV, Fridge, Microwave, car etc. if one needs to get it repaired, you need to visit 3rd party. OEM vendor don’t repair these days.

Also, I don’t think its planned obsolescence. Its sheer hard luck that it went bad after one year.

And you are advising to choose a brand that respects right to repair.. Unfortunately, there is none as of now.

I think, a good thing to be done on Ather part might be to give you some goodwill discount on new charger and collect your old charger.

I can see that you have posted this same message in multiple threads/posts and channels in the forum and FB, passing your frustration to all of us.

Since Gen 2 have/had 3 Yrs Unlimited KMs Warranty on Battery Pack. I changed it under warranty, They didn’t even ask for Water Wash Cost :grin:

No, Earlier One Belt gone in 12-13k KMs but Changed under Service Pack. But My Personal Best is Changed Primary at 46k KMs Something and Lasted till 88k+ Some KMS

Woah Man, Breakpads lasted like 17-18k KMs to be, Because I barely use Break :broken_heart:

See, I gave them 2 Days to Get Data and I used my Old Fried Battery

And Once Approved for New Battery, I made my Service Center to Buy One for me and Omce New One came, I changed it in a Day

But Its all upon You and Your Favourite Service Center’s Hand

0 INR feels so much Justified for me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ather is a Cheap Product for a Person like me who can clock 100k KMs, Atleast You need to drive 50-60 KMs to Recover the Cost Paid to Ather Energy

What You asked are satisfactory to Answer Buddy, Because I too Love Ather Product

Glad to hear you got your battery replaced under warranty! However, it seems the comprehensive service pack covering everything isn’t available for new customers anymore.

Just curious, could you share what happened with your battery? Specifically, what were your charging habits? Did you mostly rely on fast chargers, or stick with regular charging? It would be really helpful to know. Thanks!

Actually I had Option to Charge 100% back then

And Before Frying my Battery, I used it for Around 17,000 KMs in 4 Months

Relying on Fast Charging Mostly, Regularly, Wantedly, Pathetically and Exactly :rofl: etc etc

While Riding No Charging, When Charging No Riding is my Habit :confused: JFF

Actually Whenever I don’t Ride, I connect the Charger to the Vehicle. Its not Bad but Not Good either :fist:

Morning I start with One Full SoC and Mid I do Top up to Roam for Work (70-80%s)

Then I do 90+% to Reach Back Home :house_with_garden:

Do you have belt noise issue ? I think every Ather owner do have.

My concern is how you overcome the irritation of the noisy belt!

I don’t have any issues with belt until unless its life going to end that 4-5k KMs
