Tyre bought from outside. Price 1,650 + installation cost at Ather SC 293.

Try Michelin CITY EXTRA, You will love it :two_hearts:

Michelin City extra or Pilot street 2, Which one is better. I have Gen 1 Ather 450, stock tyres are 5 yo now, 10k+ ridden. Mainly looking to change as the rear tyres have lost grip. It skids a lot on braking. Please suggest a good grip tyre in Michelin. Tyre Empire is suggesting Michelin Aneke cross for rear and Pilot street 2 for front. I’m confused between Pilot street 2, City extra & Aneeke cross. Only City Extra is available in 100/80-12, rest both only in 90/90-12. Im also contemplating on upsizing rear one to 100/80-12 for better grip. Warranty won’t be an issue as I am already out of warranty. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Please advice.

For Ather 450 I will suggest Michelin Pilot Street 2 in my Experience

Okay. Thanks. Why not 100/80-12 Mich City extra on rear and 90/90-12 Pilot street 2 in the front. Wider rear tyre will help in better grip. I’m not sure, treads wise city extra looks a better wet grip tyre. With wider profile wouldn’t it provide an overall better grip. Please suggest.

Wider profile , it might effect on the performance and range.

How to evaluate whether tyre needs to be replaced or not, if it’s not worn out? Front tyre, 30k ridden, 4 years aged, tread and grip is good because it’s in the front since beginning and not rotated. AFAIK, it should be replaced after 5-6 years regardless of the wear because the rubber compound gets hard.

This is how it looks, these minor cracks just on the outer layer are normal as per the internet.

Bro Imo 30k KMs or 3 Yrs is the the Life Time for Tyres

Whenever I read a Post, I just like it to ensure  And I thought to reply later and forgot lol :joy::laughing:

In Tyre and Safety cases, I will not suggest to refer to Internets bro. I keep my Own Standards i.e 30k KMs or 3 Yrs. Thats it
