They charged 15k for the pro pack to remove developer mode which is for software services. They should provide developer mode because it’s our right to have full access to our vehicle. I believe there are risks with developer modes but these can be avoided by locking some controls that could harm the vehicle. They should provide all the insights we need like State of Health (SOH) if we can see our scooter’s SOH it will reduce the workload on service center guys because customers will know when to replace their battery to avoid pressure on SC guys they changed the entire user interface and removed developer settings this was I think very stupid idea to remove it.

Next, Ather will begin charging riders to obtain their battery’s state of health (SoH) information from the service center

Only those with the codes for diagnostic mode can access the actual SoH of the battery. Even if you ask SC they’ll only show you the imbalance between the cells which is only a metric whether if your pack is bad or not.
This was not the case an year ago, My guess is that Ather did not expect such degradation in batteries they manufactured for Gen 3 and 3.1, and the promised 75% SoH will be a burden for them at the end of the warranty period for these scooters (Battery Protect).
